Instructions
✓ In a large mixing bowl, whisk together eggs and melted butter.
✓ Add grated lemon peel and mix well to combine.
✓ Sift in baking soda and fold into the mixture.
✓ Gradually add olive oil, milk, lemon juice, baking powder, vanilla extract, sourdough starter, sugar, flour, and salt. Mix until just combined.
✓ Turn dough out onto a floured surface and knead for 5-7 minutes.
✓ Shape the dough into a loaf and place it in a greased loaf pan.
✓ Cover with a clean kitchen towel and let rise at room temperature for 2 hours or until doubled in size.
✓ Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C). Bake for 45-50 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and an internal temperature of 190°F (87°C) is reached.
✓ Remove from the oven and let cool on a wire rack. For the glaze, mix lemon juice, milk, and powdered sugar, brush over the loaf once cooled.
