Ingredients
✓ 1 pound ground beef (or mix of ground meats)
✓ 3 cups cooked long grain white rice
✓ 1 medium green bell pepper, chopped
✓ 1 medium onion, chopped
✓ 2 celery stalks, diced
✓ 3 cloves garlic, minced
✓ 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
✓ 1 teaspoon salt
✓ 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
✓ 1/2 cup chicken broth
✓ 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
Instructions
✓ Brown the ground beef in a large skillet over medium heat.
✓ Add the chopped green bell pepper, onion, and celery to the skillet and cook until vegetables are softened.
✓ Stir in the minced garlic, Cajun seasoning, salt, and black pepper. Cook for another minute.
✓ Add the cooked long-grain white rice and chicken broth. Mix well and bring to a simmer.
✓ Reduce heat to low, cover, and let simmer for 15-20 minutes or until rice is heated through and liquid has been absorbed.
✓ Garnish with chopped fresh parsley before serving.
Notes
Ensure the rice is well cooked before adding it to the skillet; this prevents clumping. Adjust seasoning as needed during cooking.
